About Gunze’s U.S. Medical Division

Gunze is excited to connect and collaborate with the U.S. healthcare community. We would like to partner with hospitals, surgeons, medical device distributors, and manufacturers to identify applications for our portfolio of products. We are also seeking OEM opportunities with our technologies, including our bioabsorbable polymer processing and resin processing technologies.

Given our long history of collaboration with universities and medical institutions around the world, Gunze’s U.S. Medical division plans to continue developing innovative solutions in partnership with U.S. research institutions as part of our ongoing R&D efforts.

FDA-Cleared Products

Over the course of the past decade, Gunze has had several bioabsorbable medical devices cleared by the FDA and made available to the U.S. healthcare community after years of successful use in Japan and around the world. These include:

• NEOVEIL® Staple Line Reinforcement, a bioabsorbable staple-line reinforcement material that is fitted for surgical staplers.
• NEOVEIL® Sheet, a bioabsorbable suture and staple-line reinforcement mesh material.
• PELNAC®, a collagen-based wound dressing marketed and sold in the U.S. as TheraGenesis® Bilayer Wound Matrix.
